The Essence of a Childhood Life

 by Bryan John Enoceña

Memory is fundamental to how we interpret the world and is vital for our brain to function effectively. It molds our personalities since it contains all of our information and experiences both the distant past and recent events. Our destiny and personality are shaped by our childhood recollections. Serving as a reminder of our past failures and experiences, which helps us become better people.

According to a recent study, happy memories appear to benefit health and well-being, potentially by reducing stress or assisting us in maintaining healthy lifestyle choices (Chopik & Edelstein, 2019). This was further supported in the published journal of the American Psychological Institution (2018) stating that people who have happy childhood memories, particularly of their interactions with their parents, tend to age better, experience less depression, and suffer from fewer chronic illnesses.

The information above implies that parents should be urged to give their children the greatest possible existence. Children must have the best childhoods, filled with learning, fun, and cherished moments spent with loved ones. When they finally wake up and understand that life is no longer a game, they will eventually have to deal with reality.
